River Tubing

Or as the locals affectionately refer to it…the Stockbridge Yacht Club. Just a few minutes north of the Pittsfield Town Green, on Route 100, in Stockbridge, you can rent big colorful inner tubes and hitch a ride from the owners to the best locals only “drop in”site on the White River. This is so much fun and a hilarious way to spend a hot summer afternoon, lazily floating down the river.
Hiking, Mountain & Road Biking
Green Mountain National Forest
Directions: Turn at the Original General Store in Pittsfield and head up Upper Michigan Road, go all the way to the top. There you will find a trailhead and signs for the green mountain national forest and some incredible views!
Riverside Farm Mountain
Directions: Head South 1 mile on Route 100 from Original General Store in Pittsfield, Just after the covered bridge turn left on Tweed River Drive, go 1/2 mile on your left you will see signs and access to trail head. Great hiking and biking abound at this spectacular estate. Only environmentally conscious “leave no trace” athletes are invited to enjoy their horse back riding trails and vistas. Just follow the winding switchback trails up the mountain and take in the natural beauty.
